SM ART CENTER: A NEW HUB FOR CONTEMPORARY ART IN CAMBODIA

The SM Art Center opened in October 2025 in Siem Reap, offering a significant new space for contemporary art in Cambodia. It was founded by two prominent Cambodian artists, Svay Sareth and Yim Maline, both trained in France. The center functions as both a site of artistic creation and cultural remembrance, shaped by Cambodia’s history, including the Khmer Rouge era.
