SM Art Center Inspires Next Generation of Mentors with HeartPrint NGO Visit
SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA – On April 21, 2026, the SM Art Center was delighted to welcome a vibrant group of young people and educators from the HeartPrint NGO Youth Mentor Program for a day dedicated to creative discovery and self-expression.
The visit provided the students with a unique opportunity to step outside their traditional learning environment and immerse themselves in the world of contemporary Cambodian art. The day began with a guided tour of our contemporary art museum, where the youth explored the diverse artistic styles of our founders, Svay Sareth 和 Yim Maline. By learning the stories behind the art—tales of resilience, memory, and peace—the students gained a deeper understanding of how personal history can be transformed into a powerful visual language.

The highlight of the afternoon was an Abstract Art Class led by our professional instructors. In a space designed for freedom and exploration, the students translated their own thoughts and perspectives onto canvas.
“What followed was something really special—creativity flowing, confidence growing, and young people expressing themselves in ways that words sometimes can’t,” shared a representative from HeartPrint. “The artwork they produced was not only thought-provoking but genuinely stunning.”
